Will I need a laptop at the Institute?

This year's Institute will be mostly paperless, so please do bring a laptop, charger, and headphones. We will be relying heavily upon Google Docs during many of the sessions, so please make sure your device has wireless capability.

What is the dress code?

The dress code is relaxed business, to include jeans.

Will food be provided?

Continental breakfast will be provided each day of the Institute. Lunch will be provided on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. We will also provide a list of local restaurants for dinner options! If you have any special dietary needs, please be sure to note them in the Pre-Event Survey

Will I need to rent a car?

The recommended hotel is ~10 minutes driving from the event venue. Participants will be responsible for securing their own transportation to the venue. We suggest either renting a car, calling a taxi, or using a phone-app such as Uber/Lyft.

For additional information or questions, please contact teachersquared@relay.edu.

Survey (~30 min, due Mon. 7/24 at 9AM EST)

We ask you to please complete this survey to provide information that will inform Institute programming and enhance your overall experience. This survey may take up to 30 minutes to complete. The survey cannot be saved, therefore it must be completed in one sitting. Thank you in advance for your thoughtful responses.

Session Plans (~10 min, due Mon. 7/24 at 9AM EST)

During the institute we will have several structured times to apply what we’ve been learning about the facilitation of practice to our current work. To that end, we are asking that you please upload materials related to a single session that you are likely to deliver in the Fall. Please review the full instructions on what and how to upload here.

Pre-Readings (~15 min, complete by Institute)

In an effort to ground ourselves in some common language, please read “And By ‘Practice’, We Mean…” by Brent Maddin.
Please read our Institute FAQ for additional information around what to bring, dress code, and more.
